Delivery Times

Most items are available to ship in within 2 business days unless an expedited delivery is requested. (Same Day cleared before 11:00 a.m. EST)

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. The shipping date estimates will appear in the order form. After placing your order, you will see both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation e-mail and in the order summary in Your Account.

Most items are normally shipped within 2 business days, when paid with credit card without complication. Payment complications include: different shipping and billing addresses, billing information inconsistent with what's on the credit card record, and orders that can't be verified by phone. Orders placed during non-business hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays are normally processed and shipped on the second day after the returning to work.

Shipping Methods and Costs

Carriers: We ship all of our packages via UPS. We do not take requests for the shipping carrier. This standardization helps us to get the best rates for our customers.

Please make sure that you give us an accurate street address that can be delivered to. No PO Boxes. Delivery quotes are for business days only. Shippers do not ship on Saturday or Sunday and do not count those days in quotes. The ship date is not counted in air quotes. For example, if it ships 2nd Day Air on Monday, it should arrive on Wednesday.

Depending on the item(s) you purchase on Animalimplants.com and the location to which the items will be delivered, different shipping methods will be available. Each shipping method has its own restrictions and charges that will be applied to your order.

At checkout, you will be prompted to choose a shipping method for your item(s). (Please note, some items may offer only one shipping method.) Shipping costs are dependent on the items in your order and the shipping method you select. Your total shipping charges will automatically compute during checkout prior to the completion of your order.

Shipping costs for orders placed on this site are based on the weight of the total order. An order containing multiple items typically receives a volume-shipping discount and therefore your total shipping and handling cost may be lower than the sum of individual ship charges appearing in your cart. You will be provided with the total shipping cost for your order during Checkout.

Generally, you will have the option of upgrading your shipping method for faster delivery (such as Third Day, or Overnight service). If you choose to upgrade your shipping method, your order must be received and clear credit authorization by 11:00 a.m. EST or your order may not be processed until the following business day. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

Calculating the Arrival Date for an Order

Total time is based on order processing time plus shipping time:
  • Order processing time is the time needed to pick and pack your order. Our goal is to process your order in 48 hours or less, when received during our normal business week (Monday-Friday).
  • Shipping time is based on the shipping service level option you select.
48 Contiguous United States
  • Standard Ground, normally 3-8 business days Most items may be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States via Standard Ground service. You can expect your order to arrive within 3-8 full business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
  • Third Day, normally 3 business days Most items may be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States via Third Day service. You can expect your order to arrive within 3 full business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
  • Overnight, normally 1 business day Most items may be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States via Overnight service. You can expect your order to arrive within 1-2 full business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
Alaska or Hawaii
  • Third Day, normally 3 business days Most items may be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii via Third Day service. You can expect your order to arrive within 3 full business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
Order Tracking

We have made it very easy for you to check the status of your order and track your shipment during transit with UPS. When you place your order, you are given an Order Number. Your order and order number will be confirmed with an e-mail. A shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent to you on the date your package is shipped.

Regular UPS delivery hours are Monday-Friday, 7-5. We do not guarantee the arrival date of the packages.

Backordered Items

WHAT IF AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK: Any product that is currently out-of-stock will have a message indicating that it is out-of-stock. Although we do not have an absolute guarantee that every product you order will be in stock we will make every effort to indicate the ones that are not. If however you order an out-of-stock item, regardless if it has been flagged or not, we will ship the portion of your order that is in stock and bill your credit card only for that amount. You will be notified of the status of the out-of-stock item when you receive your order. When the out-of-stock item becomes available we will bill your credit card for the cost of the item plus shipping. You may cancel a backorder at anytime as long as the shipping process has not begun. If you ever have a question about the stock status of any of our items, please call our customer service for the fastest service at 1-(814)-899-4957 or e-mail us at customerservice@animalimplants.com. We will E-mail you with the following options:

1. Hold the order until the out of stock item is received.
2. Ship the items in stock and delete the out of stock item from your order.
3. Substitute the out of stock item if possible. (you must choose another item)
4. Ship the in stock items and backorder the out of stock item.

Common Shipping Delays

The most common shipping delay results from errors in shipping addresses. Please make sure that the shipping address was filled-in correctly in the order form. If it is incorrect, please correct it or contact us immediately.

UPS does not pick-up on weekends, so orders placed on weekends will be shipped out within 48 hours after Monday.

Top Reasons for Order Delays

Billing information inconsistent with what's on the credit card record, requiring phone verification. To protect the credit card holder, we have to call, email or use other ways to verify that the credit card holder authorized this purchase. The verification process starts soon after a faxed order is received; however, it may take from a few hours to a few business days to complete, depending on the response we receive.

Billing address / name different from shipping address / name, requiring phone verification. Again, we must verify the credit card information before shipping to protect credit card holders.

High-value items are ordered without a manned, working phone number for phone verification. Chances for credit card fraud are much higher for these items. You must have a working phone number with your order. Sometimes, signed, dated, and faxed purchase orders are also required.

Wrong address or zip code used in the order. UPS shipping can't deliver and may send the package back to us.

No one at the shipping address to accept the package. UPS shipping can't deliver and may send the package back to us.

Delays during holiday seasons between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Shipping companies often do not guarantee any shipment a couple of weeks before Christmas. Make your arrangements early if possible.

Shortage of ordered item(s). We try to contact customers in case of shortages that will delay orders. We may split an order and ship items separately. Back ordered items are marked as "BO" on your packing slip.

Purchase orders may be delayed for us to verify account information. This is especially true for first time customers.

Orders are faxed during business hours. If a customer uses a faxed list instead of the on line cart to process orders. Working outside of the automated systems can cause delays.
